Hi....thanks for stopping by my cake blog! Five years ago I decided to take a little break from school nursing and try my hand at something a little different, creative and fun........ like cake decorating! So, I signed up for a Wilton class, bought some supplies and tools to make the learning more "do-able" and have been watching endless tutorials on the internet ever since. I was lucky enough to have been working with some awesome young mom's (teachers) and of course, family and friends that were willing to let me try out all these fun and creative ideas and technique's on their children's birthday cakes, a bridal shower or two and even a couple of weddings! ( : It has really brought more joy than I could have imagined! However, the REAL satisfaction and joy is getting to see the excitement and surprise on the birthday boy's or girl's face and the happiness in the voice of a very grateful parent, grandparent or bride. So now, I have a way to get creative AND share my work with others! But even better...you get to eat it too!! ( :
